[FFA] Seminar to help gen z students enhance competitive advantages in the Finance – Accounting industry

To equip students with the essential knowledge and skills to meet the increasing demands of the labor market, on the afternoon of March 10, 2025, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at Lac Hong University organized a seminar on the topic "Factors Helping Gen Z Shine in the Eyes of Recruiters in the Finance – Accounting Industry." The event attracted the interest of many students and featured two speakers with years of experience in financial and accounting management: Mr. Le Thanh Hung, CEO of TOKOSEIKI Vietnam Co., Ltd., and Mrs. Liu Yu Feng (Jay), Deputy General Director of Yuoyi Vietnam Co., Ltd.

During the seminar, the speakers analyzed current recruitment trends in the finance – accounting field, emphasizing the factors that make Gen Z candidates stand out in the eyes of employers. Flexible thinking, technological skills, teamwork ability, and a professional attitude are key qualities recruiters seek in the younger generation. Additionally, the experts shared insights on building a personal brand, from preparing a professional CV and participating in internship activities to continuously improving soft skills such as communication, critical thinking, and time management.

The seminar not only provided valuable knowledge but also created an opportunity for students to interact directly with businesses. Many students expressed their excitement about asking questions and receiving feedback from the experts. Pham Tan Cong, a third-year Accounting student, shared: "Through this seminar, I better understand the practical requirements of employers and know how to prepare myself more effectively for my future career."

With serious investment in organization and in-depth content, the seminar brought practical values, helping students accumulate knowledge, set personal development goals, and prepare to integrate into the competitive labor market.
