LHU joins over 100 scholars at ASTID 2025 National Scientific Conference

As Vietnam accelerates its journey toward green and sustainable development, the ASTID 2025 National Scientific Conference emerged as a vibrant “knowledge hub”, opening new perspectives for the research community.

The event was jointly organized by LHU, Mien Dong Innovative Technology University (MIT Uni.), and Gia Dinh University, drawing over 100 scientists, experts, and researchers from universities, academies, and research institutes both within Vietnam and abroad.

The hosts of the event were represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Song, Rector of MIT Uni. and Chair of the ASTID 2025 Organizing Committee; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh, Vice Rector of LHU and Chair of the ASTID 2025 Plenary Session Subcommittee; and Dr. Nguyen Vu Lan, Vice Rector of Gia Dinh University and Co-chair of the Plenary Session Subcommittee; along with keynote speakers, representatives from enterprises, and delegates from universities and research institutions in Vietnam and abroad.

Notably, LHU delegates played key roles throughout the conference: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh – Vice Rector – Chair of the Plenary Session Subcommittee; Dr. Nguyen Thi Nhu Quynh – Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy – Co-chair of the Health Science Subcommittee; Dr. Phan Nhu Quan – Co-chair of the Technology – Engineering Subcommittee; and Dr. Nguyen Van Hai – Co-chair of the Economics, Finance, Commerce, and Law Subcommittee

This year’s conference featured five keynote speakers, each providing timely insights that helped shape research directions in the digital era. Topics ranged from artificial intelligence in education and research, modern biomedicine, smart agriculture, and the commercialization of scientific products to sustainable thermal storage solutions derived from biomaterials.

Representing LHU, Dr. Pham Van Toan, Dean of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics, was one of the five keynote speakers, presenting “Solutions for commercializing scientific research and innovative products”, drawing significant attention for its high practical applicability and its effective bridging of research and real-world implementation.

The conference continued with four specialized subcommittees: Technology – Engineering, Health Sciences, Digital Transformation and Applications, and Economics – Finance – Commerce and Law. These subcommittees provided a multi-dimensional academic forum, generating new ideas for innovation and sustainable development.

Ultimately, ASTID 2025 conveyed strong positive signals, expanding interdisciplinary collaboration opportunities while reaffirming LHU’s commitment to supporting the nation’s sustainable development strategy through scientific research and technology transfer.
