    Student Scientific Research Presentation – Class of 2019, Academic Year 2022–2023.

    Scientific research is a process of exploration, analysis, learning, and investigation. It reflects the dedication and effort of students. More importantly, scientific research is for those who are passionate and determined to introduce new methods, solutions, and tools that meet the demands of learning and societal development.

    At 8:00 AM on October 20, 2022, in Room D105, Campus 2, Lac Hong University held the official Student Scientific Research (SSR) presentation session for the Class of 2019.

    Members of the Evaluation Committee

    The presentation session was attended by members of the evaluation committee, including:

    • PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration – International Economics (FAIE);

    • MSc Ta Thi Thanh Huong – Vice Dean of FAIE;

    • PhD Candidate Luu Ngoc Liem – Head of the Department of Human Resource Management;

    • MSc Huynh Thi Nhu Hieu – Head of the Department of Business and Commercial Law;

    • MSc Phan Van Hai – Head of the Department of Tourism Management and Operations.

    Also in attendance were lecturers and staff members of FAIE, along with more than 50 students from the 2019 cohort and 2020 students who are planning or preparing to conduct scientific research projects.

    This reporting round included both individual…

    After four months of research and dedicated study, under the enthusiastic guidance and support of FAIE lecturers, students successfully completed their reports with creative and valuable topics. This year featured 10 research projects conducted by 17 students, with topics aligned with current national development trends and conditions.

    In addition to completing the full thesis before the presentation date, students were required to prepare a summary of their project, design a standee, and display it at the evaluation session. Each team had seven minutes to present, followed by questions and feedback from the committee. Students were advised to incorporate more practical surveys, better allocate content across chapters, thoroughly master their research content, and propose practical orientations and solutions. During the research process, students were also encouraged to explore related topics more deeply and broadly.

    …or group projects

    The evaluation committee worked diligently and objectively to ensure fair and well-deserved results. High-quality projects highly evaluated by the committee will advance to the university-level round and may participate in other competitions such as the Eureka Scientific Research Competition and other national-level research contests.

    Over the four months, students balanced both research and internships. Supervising lecturers played a crucial role as mentors and connectors, guiding students toward producing the most refined and impactful research possible.

    Students demonstrated strong preparation, confident presentation skills, well-designed PowerPoint slides, and standees that clearly reflected their research content. Overall, the academic quality was satisfactory. Business Administration projects presented concrete and clear data despite challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and internship-related difficulties. Economic Law projects showed strong structure and coherence across chapters. Meanwhile, projects from the Economics (International Trade) and Tourism and Travel Management programs were also highly appreciated for their innovation, practicality, clear objectives, and inclusion of field surveys.

    By participating in scientific research, students gained knowledge in analysis and research methodology. This process helped them better understand practical aspects of their fields of study while identifying and filling knowledge gaps. The journey of research also taught valuable lessons in independence, teamwork, analytical thinking, synthesis, and problem-solving throughout the research process.
