LHU Alumnus Wins Third Prize at Dong Nai Innovation Startup Competition 2022.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) is taking place globally, bringing significant challenges while also creating opportunities to restructure the economy. Dong Nai is one of the country’s leading industrial provinces, maintaining a high economic growth rate. Science and technology as well as innovation activities in the province have become increasingly dynamic and effective, particularly in technology innovation serving local socio-economic development.

A large number of students attended the event at the Department of Science and Technology

Recently, on the morning of December 1, the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai held the opening ceremony of the Dong Nai Innovation Startup Festival (Techfest DongNai 2022) under the theme “Innovative Startups – Converging Resources.” At this event, first-year students from the Faculty of Business Administration – International Economics (FAIE) were given the opportunity to participate. Through the program, students gained insights into the key science and technology sectors currently prioritized by Dong Nai Province.

Although only in their first semester, such activities help students develop study plans and set academic goals from their very first year. In addition, they learned about local support policies, ways to connect with investors to develop startup projects, and current recruitment requirements in the job market.

At Lac Hong University, students are consistently supported by faculty advisors in both technical development and product commercialization. Most recently, the university achieved Third Prize at the 2022 Innovation Competition in the Fisheries Sector of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. Furthermore, many LHU alumni, even after graduation, continue to receive guidance and mentorship from lecturers when launching startups—particularly from PhD Nguyen Van Tan, Dean of FAIE.

With these strong foundations, it is hoped that students will seize opportunities to develop successful startup projects and contribute to the development of the province, the nation, and the wider region.
