Recently, the final days of Semester 1 of the 2022–2023 academic year concluded. In order to review the results achieved as well as to share and contribute ideas for lessons learned for the following semester, on 22 December 2022, FAIE organized a meeting to improve the Faculty’s academic advising activities. Attendees included: PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Dean of FAIE, MB Ta Thi Thanh Huong – Vice Dean of FAIE, along with all lecturers serving as academic advisors of the Faculty.
At the beginning of the meeting, MB Nguyen Thi Khanh Van – Faculty Student Affairs Officer reviewed all regulations, authority, responsibilities, and methods of student management as well as academic advising activities. Subsequently, each lecturer in turn shared their experiences in academic advising for students over the past semesters. After that, the Faculty leadership summarized the discussions and further shared approaches and methods to harmonize advising practices for diverse groups of students. FAIE offers five different majors, and students in each major have their own specific characteristics; therefore, understanding students in order to provide effective solutions is extremely essential. The opinions were expressed in a spirit of frankness and sharing, with the collective aim of working together to deliver the highest values to students.
The meeting took place in a serious and effective atmosphere, promising to continue bringing significant value to students in the upcoming semesters, thereby contributing to the training of generations of students who possess both virtue and competence, along with a spirit of continuous learning.
