    Economic Law Major Organizes “Evaluation of the Training Programme and Learning Outcomes 2023”.

    At 9:00 on 23 February 2023, the seminar “Evaluation of the Training Programme and Learning Outcomes 2023” was held in Room D105, Campus 2, Lac Hong University, with the participation of experts in the field, lecturers from FAIE, alumni, and representatives of current students.

    Representatives in attendance included:

    • PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Dean of FAIE;

    • MB Ta Thi Thanh Huong – Vice Dean of FAIE;

    • MB Huynh Thi Nhu Hieu – Head of Division of Business and Commercial Law;

    • MB Vu Thi Thanh Huyen – Head of Division of Financial and Banking Law;

    • Mr. Phan Van Chau – Chairman of the Dong Nai Lawyers Association;

    • Mr. Nguyen Truc Thien – Judge of the People’s Court of Bien Hoa City;

    • Ms. Vo Thi Ngoc Linh – Secretary of the Professional Inspection and Judgment Enforcement Division, Dong Nai Provincial People’s Court.

    To ensure the competence of law graduates upon completion of their studies and to meet practical societal demands, the Economic Law major under FAIE, Lac Hong University regularly evaluates its training programme and learning outcomes annually in order to adjust the curriculum to align with societal needs, ensuring that upon graduation, students possess sufficient legal knowledge and skills to work in enterprises, state agencies, organizations, etc.

    At the seminar, Mr. Phan Van Chau, representative of the Lawyers Association, contributed suggestions to integrate certain courses, specifically combining the course Litigation-Conducting Bodies and Judicial Organization with the Constitutional Law course. He also proposed that the Commercial Contract Drafting Skills course should allow students greater exposure to various types of sales contracts and focus more deeply on the specialization.

    Representing the judicial authority, Mr. Nguyen Truc Thien suggested developing a curriculum aligned with current practical conditions to enhance graduates’ confidence in professional practice. He also recommended that the Faculty strengthen connections with local agencies to establish support policies for students, such as facilitating internship placements and job referrals.

    Representing alumni, Ms. Vo Thi Ngoc Linh suggested developing appropriate teaching methods that combine traditional and modern approaches, taking into account students’ learning needs to adopt suitable pedagogical methods.

    Acknowledging the contributions of invited guests, alumni, lecturers, and current students, MB Huynh Thi Nhu Hieu – Head of Division of Business and Commercial Law, highly appreciated the valuable input from stakeholders and affirmed that adjustments would be made for the 2023 cohort.

    PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Dean of The Faculty of Administration International Economics, expressed gratitude for the contributions from guests, lecturers, and students in order to further refine the 2023 training programme and learning outcomes to align with the competency requirements of Economic Law graduates at present and in the future, thereby contributing to the development of high-quality human resources for society. Following the seminar, the Faculty will consider appropriate adjustments based on the valuable recommendations received.
