    LHU Representative Attends the Seminar “Linkage for Tourism Development in Tu Mo Rong District, Kon Tum Province”.

    In today’s era, tourism has become a common demand across all social strata, creating a boom in the global tourism market. The increasing demand for travel has strongly promoted the development of the tourism industry, making it a global economic sector and a key economic sector in many countries. Recognizing societal demand, FAIE has offered the Tourism and Travel Management major since the 2019 cohort to the present.

    In order to connect academic knowledge with practical societal needs, the Tourism and Travel Management major regularly collaborates with Long Khanh City to implement tourism development initiatives within the province. Beyond that, the Faculty frequently participates in tourism seminars to learn from and apply tourism development policies and solutions from other localities as a foundation for the development of the home province. Most recently, PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Dean of FAIE attended the seminar “Linkage for Tourism Development in Tu Mo Rong District, Kon Tum Province.” It is noted that Kon Tum is a province in the Central Highlands region with abundant tourism resources, diverse terrain including mountains and forests, numerous scenic landscapes, and rich cultural identities of ethnic minority communities in the area, creating significant potential for tourism development in general and community-based tourism in particular.

    The seminar focused on solutions that need to be implemented synchronously and effectively as follows:

    1. Raising awareness and perspectives on tourism;

    2. Developing infrastructure and technical facilities for tourism;

    3. Building a distinctive cultural brand for Tu Mo Rong District;

    4. Developing a modern and professional district electronic information portal;

    5. Establishing policies to encourage the development of community-based ginseng tourism;

    6. Strengthening linkages and developing tourism routes and destinations;

    7. Protecting tourism resources and the tourism environment.

    It is hoped that through continuous efforts and learning, FAIE will make significant contributions to the tourism development of the home province. This also presents a valuable opportunity for students in terms of employment assurance, as well as bringing Dong Nai’s products, services, and strengths to a broader range of customers, expanding to regional and global markets.
