“Learning must go hand in hand with practice” is a highly effective method that has been passed down through generations. For that reason, the renowned Lac Hong University has actively connected with enterprises and seaports to provide students with greater access to practical experience.
Under the direction of the leadership of FAIE, on the morning of 7 April 2023, students of the Economics (Foreign Trade) major participated in a Forwarder professional training session at Tan Cang – Cat Lai. The session aimed to help students gain a comprehensive understanding of real-world operations and the responsibilities of a Forwarder.
The main participants of the training session were students from class 20NT111. In addition, several students from the 2021 cohort who were interested also joined the programme. Accompanying the students were lecturers from FAIE.
After traveling for a period of time, at 8:00, the delegation arrived at Tan Cang – Cat Lai. There, students were guided to the meeting room to begin learning about professional operational procedures.
Throughout the training session, Ms. Le Ngoc Phuong Uyen – Forwarder Professional Instructor at Tan Cang – Cat Lai – shared valuable knowledge, such as: “What is air cargo? What is the workflow of a Forwarder?”
Notably, students were given the opportunity to practice directly on the Transport Chain Simulator software at Tan Cang – Cat Lai.
Under the intense heat, the delegation returned to the University, concluding a useful and engaging training session. Through this session, students certainly gained solid and comprehensive knowledge. This experience will serve as valuable preparation for each student as they enter professional life in the field of foreign trade and import–export.
