In order to provide students with opportunities to access disciplinary knowledge through observation and direct engagement with exhibition display and organization activities, and to enable Marketing lecturers to gain practical insights into exhibition organization, on the morning of 7 April 2023, Marketing students participated in a field trip to the International Textile and Garment Industry Exhibition – Machinery, Equipment, Materials and Fabrics (SaigonTex & SaigonFabric 2023) at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) – 799 Nguyen Van Linh Boulevard, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of more than 300 domestic and international enterprises.
During the visit and practical learning session, Marketing students gained substantial real-world knowledge on identifying consumer behavior and conducting marketing research within the context of exhibitions, as well as understanding how to participate in and organize international-scale exhibitions. The activity was accompanied and supported by Trung Quy Textile and Garment Co., Ltd., a major partner of leading fashion brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, a brand under Esquel Garment Company.
Through practical learning activities from the first academic year, Marketing students have been equipped with essential and useful knowledge for developing professional expertise and professional awareness as future professional marketers. It is hoped that the University and enterprises will continue to create favorable conditions and accompany and support students in the coming time.
