On the morning of 6 May 2023, at Room D105, Campus 2 of Lac Hong University, the Tourism and Travel Management major under The Faculty of Administration International Economics successfully organized the Final Round of the “Talented Tourism Student” Competition with the theme: Designing a Short-Day Tour Programme in Long Khanh City.

Participating in the competition were lecturers and esteemed enterprise representatives with high professional expertise and in-depth knowledge of Dong Nai tourism, serving as the Jury Panel. The competition also received enthusiastic participation from students of the Tourism major, The Faculty of Administration International Economics. It is known that The Faculty of Administration International Economics is currently responsible for implementing the tourism development project in Long Khanh City. Through the competition, students were able to contribute innovative ideas and tour programmes, enabling the Faculty to gain additional ideas for the development project. The competition also served as a healthy academic playground for students of the Tourism and Travel Management major. Through the competition, students were able to apply the specialized knowledge learned in class to practical contexts and gain a deeper understanding of how to build a complete tour programme. Moreover, the competition contributed to strengthening the connection among students within the major.

The Final Round of the “Talented Tourism Student” Competition featured the participation of 07 teams from cohorts 2020, 2021, and 2022 of the Tourism and Travel Management major. In the Final Round, contestants had to complete 02 sections: presenting their tour programme and answering questions from the Jury Panel. These sections contributed to making the competition more dynamic and engaging.
Based on the performances of the teams, the Jury Panel selected the most outstanding teams for awards. The First Prize was awarded to Team Wind, with members: Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Dang Thi Kim Hien, Nguyen Ngan Phuong, and Dang Van Tien from class 20QD111. In particular, 02 enterprise representatives serving as Jury members also provided additional prizes for the winning teams. Specifically, Ms. Nguyen Thai Tuong Van – Director of Thai Loan Travel Company – sponsored 100%, 70%, 50%, and 30% voucher packages for a 01-day tour of Long Khanh City organized by the company, corresponding to the First, Second, Third, and Consolation Prizes, respectively. Mr. Than Van Linh – Director of Tri An Adventure Travel Company – sponsored a 2-day, 1-night all-inclusive experiential tour of Tri An Lake and Ma Da Forest for the First Prize winners. The remaining prize-winning contestants received a fully complimentary experiential tour package of Tri An Lake.
It can be seen that, beyond receiving highly attractive sponsored prizes, through the competition students gained practical experience, enhanced their presentation skills before the Jury Panel, learned how to effectively organize a tour programme, and received experience-sharing from seasoned experts. This enables students to gain practical exposure while still studying at the University. This is a key factor in helping students secure strong employment opportunities in the future.
