Recently, the Tourism and Travel Management major, FAIE, Lac Hong University organized a meeting and networking session with Thai Loan Travel Company.
In addition to the Faculty leadership, Heads of Division, and lecturers, the programme was honored to welcome the following guest speakers:
Mr. Hoang Xuan Vinh – Head of Binh Duong Branch, Dat Viet Tour Investment Trading Service Joint Stock Company (DAT VIET TOUR).
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen Nhung – Retail Sales Department, Thai Loan Travel Company.

Through the content shared by the speakers, students learned that beyond specialized knowledge related to practical work, enterprises consistently require students to possess soft skills, including work planning, time management, professional demeanor development, adaptation to corporate environment and culture, teamwork skills, independent working skills, the ability to handle work pressure, community integration skills, and self-development capacity. This helps students develop effective study roadmaps and plans to meet enterprise demands.

In the current context, tourism companies are in strong need of human resources. Therefore, Dat Viet Tour Investment Trading Service Joint Stock Company and Thai Loan Travel Company represent dynamic working environments aligned with the major, serving as ideal places for practical experience where students can further develop the field they are pursuing. Recognizing this as a valuable opportunity to meet and exchange with guests who have experience and are currently working in the tourism sector, students actively raised questions to the speakers. This partly helped them visualize the working environment in enterprises, understand the challenges they need to overcome, and learn how to adapt to the working environment and the continuous changes of the economy in general and the tourism sector in particular.

Modern education requires learning to go hand in hand with practice, meeting the requirements and demands of reality, with the goal of forming and developing learners’ practical competencies. In some cases, practice must even outweigh theory, enabling learners to gain authentic experiences and real exposure. Understanding this, FAIE has developed roadmaps and plans to organize practical programmes and seminars with the aim of delivering practical value to students.
