Seminar on Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Tourism Development.

Recently, at the Aurora Hotel Conference Hall, the seminar titled “Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Tourism Development” was held. The programme was jointly organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Dong Nai Tourism Association. Attending the seminar were Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Loan – Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Tran Dang Ninh – Chairman of the Dong Nai Tourism Association; representatives of agencies, units, and tourism enterprises in the province; and tourism students from colleges and universities in the province.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Loan – Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism – emphasized that the tourism sector of Dong Nai is currently receiving strong attention from provincial leaders, who are mobilizing all available resources for its development. Therefore, this seminar serves as an event to strongly promote the spirit of innovative entrepreneurship within the community, especially among intellectuals, youth, and students. The tourism market is considered a highly potential field for entrepreneurs; however, to establish a tourism startup enterprise requires creativity and vision. It is no longer possible to operate in traditional ways; instead, it is necessary to rethink tourism. In the current era of technological advancement, digital transformation solutions must be a priority for tourism startups, particularly focusing on the development of smart tourism products to inspire visitors.

At the seminar, PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Head of The Faculty of Administration International Economics, Lac Hong University – stated: “When the market and customers change, along with new development trends in the tourism industry, enterprises, depending on their capacity, resources, and position, must undertake fundamental transformations based on their competitive advantages to ensure appropriate adaptation. Developing businesses under traditional models relying on physical assets, internal relationships, and information will no longer be the primary advantage. Instead, enterprises need to focus more on enhancing human capacity, building advanced management systems, applying technology to automate business processes, strengthening operational and service delivery capabilities, fostering a culture of cooperation and linkage, and developing standardized, high-quality products and services associated with brand development to build credibility and strong market and customer connections.”

During the seminar, delegates focused discussions on current tourism trends, as well as the role and effectiveness of innovative entrepreneurship, thereby promoting the entrepreneurial spirit within the community.

The seminar also allocated time for exchanging innovative initiatives and experiences that have been and are being implemented creatively at several enterprises. These discussions provided individuals, tourism enterprises, and startup businesses with additional ideas for new and distinctive business models, leveraging local advantages as well as technological strengths in operations. This contributes to fostering stronger motivation for innovative entrepreneurship activities in the province and increasing the number of startup enterprises contributing to the overall economic development of Dong Nai Province.
