    Economic Law Club Meeting with Seminar on “Practical Experience in the Workplace”.

    At 7:30 a.m. on 16 September 2023, in Room D105, Campus 2 of Lac Hong University, the Economic Law major organized a seminar entitled “Practical Experience in the Workplace.” The program welcomed the participation of:

    • PhD Nguyen Van Tan, leadership representative of QT-KTQT.

    • Jurist Pham Dinh Duc, Director of Bien Hoa Legal Consultancy Center; Arbitrator at the Ho Chi Minh City Commercial Arbitration Center (TRACENT); Legal Reporter of Dong Nai Province.

    • Faculty representatives of QT-KTQT and students of the Economic Law major.

    The purpose of the seminar was to help students consolidate their knowledge, gain access to real dispute cases, and improve their effectiveness in resolving such matters. The program aimed to equip students with valuable knowledge, essential skills, and practical workplace experience.

    Practical experience and skills, like a martial arts match, are essential conditions and a solid foundation for students to make a strong impression on employers. Moreover, they are crucial factors enabling students to compete, survive, and develop in the real working environment. Recognizing this importance, QT-KTQT and the Economic Law Club organized this seminar to help students gain closer access to practical skills and experience for today’s competitive job market.

    At the beginning of the program, the Master of Ceremonies introduced the seminar topic. “Practical Experience in the Workplace” is one of the important themes that helps students in the major gain understanding when entering the real working environment and equips them with experience before graduation.

    To clarify practical skills and workplace experience, the jurist shared common mistakes encountered in drafting labor contracts, conflicts and disputes in commercial activities and other disputes, as well as the authority for dispute resolution in the working process. He also discussed salary provisions and the benefits and costs to which employees are entitled.

    In addition, Jurist Pham Dinh Duc shared situational handling skills when encountering disputes or acting as a legal representative in initiating lawsuits on behalf of clients, as well as lessons learned and challenges arising during the process of working with enterprises.

    Beyond listening and engaging in dialogue, the program presented practical scenarios for students to directly resolve, allowing them to gain experience and deepen their understanding of real workplace situations.

    After the seminar, students likely gained numerous valuable skills and practical experiences from the jurist’s sharing, thereby reinforcing part of their academic knowledge and adding new preparation for their future careers. It is hoped that through extracurricular activities such as this, organized by the Economic Law Club with encouragement and approval from the University leadership and QT-KTQT, the Club will continue to expand and further develop this year and in the years to come.
