On 26 October 2023, at the People’s Committee of Long Khanh City, Dong Nai Province, The Faculty of Administration International Economics, Lac Hong University presented the second draft of the Project on Building and Developing an Agricultural Ecotourism Model in Long Khanh City. This reporting session aimed to discuss and collect feedback from delegates, departments, local authorities, and relevant community stakeholders in developing a sustainable agricultural ecotourism model.
According to the draft Project, the primary objective is to establish a developed agricultural ecotourism model that delivers economic, social, and environmental benefits to the locality. At the same time, the Project contributes to increasing farmers’ income, enhancing the value of agricultural production, and promoting the sustainable development of the city’s tourism sector.
A key proposal in the Project is the establishment of agricultural tourism cooperatives in local areas across the city. By creating linkages among farming households, enterprises, and local communities, this model aims to enhance competitiveness, improve the quality of tourism products and services, attract visitors, and generate sustainable income sources for the community.

Another important component of the Project is the development of garden-based ecotourism models for farming households engaged in tourism activities. Through the exploitation and development of the agricultural garden potential in Long Khanh City, the garden ecotourism model is expected to provide unique experiences for visitors while promoting environmental conservation and preserving traditional culture.

The draft presentation session was attended by the Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Long Khanh City – Tang Quoc Lap – along with members of the City Tourism Development Steering Committee, relevant departments, representatives of local authorities, and farming households. Participants actively engaged in discussions, shared opinions, and contributed ideas to further refine the Project.
Following the presentation, feedback and proposals from the meeting will be reviewed and incorporated into the final version of the Project. This ensures broad participation and consensus among stakeholders, thereby establishing a solid foundation for the successful development of the agricultural ecotourism model in Long Khanh City.
