On the morning of 17 November 2023, at Room A301, Campus 1, a notable event entitled “Online Trial” was held with the participation of numerous lecturers from FAIE and students from various cohorts of the Economic Law major. The program was led by PhD Nguyen Truc Thien – Judge of the People’s Court of Bien Hoa City.

The program proceeded smoothly under the skillful guidance of the MCs, Ngoc Anh and Thai Bao. The auditorium was immersed in a vibrant and positive atmosphere, enjoying well-prepared musical performances organized in advance by the Organizing Committee.

At the beginning of the program, PhD Lam Thanh Hien – Rector of Lac Hong University – delivered his best wishes to the students and the Organizing Committee. He then presented flowers and a letter of appreciation to the speaker.

During his presentation, PhD Nguyen Truc Thien highlighted the significant advantages of implementing online trials. He emphasized that information technology helps save time and effort while creating a fair and transparent adjudication environment. Moreover, it contributes to reducing case overload within the judicial system and facilitates more convenient participation for all parties involved in a case. Drawing from his extensive professional experience, PhD Nguyen Truc Thien compared the benefits of online trials and in-person trials, enabling students to recognize the advantages and limitations of each form of adjudication.

Following the speaker’s presentation, students participated in a review minigame to reinforce the knowledge shared by the speaker and apply the knowledge learned in class. Students enthusiastically engaged in the activity, which fostered joy and strengthened the connection between the Organizing Committee and participants. The entire auditorium shared in the excitement and anticipation to see who would emerge as the winners and receive well-deserved prizes. After a highly competitive and thrilling round, six outstanding students from three Economic Law cohorts of the Faculty were honored and awarded prizes.

The “Online Trial” program exceeded expectations and became a successful event, providing students with an impressive, memorable, and meaningful experience. It marked an important step forward in applying information technology to the judicial field, opening new prospects and fostering future-oriented connections within the adjudication system.
